Accommodation Tax
Starting January 1, 2026, the City of Aachen will introduce an accommodation tax of EUR 2.50 per person per night. The taxpayer liable for this accommodation tax is the hotel guest. The hotel is required to collect the tax on behalf of the City of Aachen. It may be included on your final invoice or listed separately on an additional receipt.
The tax applies to all private and business stays. Children and adolescents under the age of 18 are exempt. Long-term guests are also exempt from the tax from the 21st night onward, provided all nights are spent in the same hotel within the same calendar year.
As a hotel, we are required to collect this tax on behalt of the City of Aachen and remit it in full.
Low Emission Zone
Our hotel is located within Aachen's low emission zone, which was introduced on February 1, 2016. Since then, only vehicles displaying a green emissions sticker („Feinstaubplakette") or holding a valid exemption permit are allowed to enter this zone. The boundaries of the zone largely follow the Aachen outer ring and include all streets within its perimeter.
If you plan to arrive by car, we recommend checking the requirements for the emissions sticker in advance and obtaining it before your arrival. This ensures that nothing stands in the way of a smooth journey to our hotel. Further information can be found at:
